Oct 4

Hello!
My companion's name is pronounced 'eye' this is exactly what she says when people ask her " Ae, like the letter i or your eyeball" I've heard her say that a lot. We haven't actually watched the rs conference yet because we're waiting to watch it when the Elders have priesthood session. If I had been here just one week earlier I could have been part of the choir but oh well! They provided the shirts for them haha

Hey, that is so awesome that, that lady understands the Word of Wisdom! Yay!

Yeah, I got the garments. They actually have a garment center here so I don't know why they told you they didn't....? And I got the shoes in perfect timing! I think I got them on monday, right before the service project. The district leader gets all the mail and if you have a package you just get a slip that says to go pick it up.

So for conference we all watch it where we have the devotionals and what not. Watching in the living room sounds way nice because the seats here are NOT comfortable.

Oh thank you Harrison, that's nice! I'd send pictures but as it turns out my camera is super broken. I probably should have tried using it before I got here...I will however send the pictures that the other sisters have taken as soon as they figure out how to get them on the computer. For some reason its not working on most of the computers here but we might just print the pictures and then mail them.

So last Sunday my comp. and I got called as the Sister Training Leaders for the zone! Turns out its actually kind of stressful because if there is anything wrong with any of the Sisters its on our shoulders to make sure all is well. So we have one Sister who is a type 1 diabetic and she's been struggling with it because she found out about a month ago. Also another sister has depression but she seems to have pretty good control over it, but it still is kind of worrisome. Its been an interesting experience however because its super humbling to see that despite any physical issue these sisters are super willing to forget about themselves and teach people the gospel.

Yeah, its pretty awesome here! My teachers are super great. On sunday night we watched a devotional that Bednar gave a couple years ago and it was sooooo good! It was all about the character of Christ. Something I really liked was, he talked about how missionaries can become impatient and want this and that with their investigators. He said "Who cares what you want, forget about yourselves!" and he talked about how Christ never thought about himself, He was always looking outward. It changed my life. Well, it changed how I thought about missionary work.

I leave the MTC on wednesday Oct 9 at 4:30 in the morning. I switched computers and know its really hard to type. Anyway, the zone went to the temple again today and that was really nice. I can tell that the elders in my zone will all be great missionaries but they are such 18 yr old boys! They drive the sisters in my district nuts but along with the call to be a missionary came the responsibility to be loving and kind. So we all get along just wonderfully.

At mission conference I saw Renae Rowley (old roomate) and I was so happy. She's going to the Philippines but still has about 3 weeks left in the MTC. I am so glad I am here for only two weeks, I just can't imagine staying longer. It is so great here and the spirit is felt everywhere but I think I'm ready to actually do work in the field instead of a classroom. Sister Ae and I did have a really awesome experience teaching a TRC investigator. TRC investigators are people who are hired to have the MTC missionaries teach them two lesson and they can be members but some are real life investigators! So we don't know if the girl we taught was a member but she totally felt the spirit. If we had another lesson with her I think she definitley would have committed to baptism.

I don't know about this picture situation.....hey but could you send me our family picture in the mail I forgot to grab one before I left. Also that picture you sent was pretty funny, that was the face I intended to make.

LOOOOVVVVEEEE,
Sister Hannah Davis

PS I saw Rachel's sister in law, Maille, and she recognized me but I had know idea who she was until she said "Rachel and Tank said hi". So that was kind of awkward because I'm pretty sure I had the "who are you????" look. Hopefully I see her again so she doesn't think I'm a super uncool relative. Who would ever think that?!
